Cyanotypes

Cyanotypes are created using Potassium Ferricyanide and Ferric Ammonium Citrate. Mixing these chemicals you can use them in a photographic printing process that produces a vibrant cyan-blue print. My experiments were inspired by learning about Anna Atkins and her impact on botany and the classification of plants. She was also the very FIRST person to illustrate a book. For more information on this fascinating woman, see this article.
