WooHoo! I’m doing great! (Reference for this phrase HERE) Today, I am happy to announce I’ve signed with literary agent Tina Schwartz, founder of the Purcell Agency. She will be representing me in the literary world as well as the audiobook world. If you remember from this post, I signed my 6-book chapter book series, Lewis & Clark and Their Flying Litterbox, with ABDO Publishing. Tina was the brains behind that deal. And now she will be sharing my work with … the world?! Or at the very least, publishing houses.
Currently, I’m working on the Lewis & Clark & Their Flying Litterbox series. It’s a daunting, but fun, task of world building, characters, exotic locales, and exciting research like… do cats HAVE lips? I won’t tell you the answer to this because you can read about it in my book, or do your own research to fight the AI brain rot I hope you aren’t succumbing to.

I also got to see my critique partner, Laura, in person for the first time in … 3 years? We hiked the Smoky Mountains and talked shop the whole time. She has a book coming out in July, and you can preorder that HERE. (Look for me on the flap jacket! I said nice things!) We met at an Illinois SCBWI conference and hit it off immediately. We’ve been exchanging critiques ever since, and seeing her again was a balm for my soul. Not to be sappy, but I am beyond blessed with my writing partners. I simply couldn’t do it without them. And I don’t want to! Don’t make me!
